Class 1 BRC Area 5 Mixed 70cm Arena Eventing Team and Individual Qualifier & Points
Speed 340mpm Open to Junior and senior members of an affiliated Riding Club that have paid their
membership for the current year. Rider not to have completed a BE90, AE90, BRC HT90 or
CH90 or above in the current competition year. Rider not to compete at 90 or above in
qualifier or championship. Horses may be registered with BE but must not have any BE points
including foundation points. Not to have been placed in the top six at BE 80 or to have
completed a BE 90 or above in the current or previous calendar year. Riders who have
competed under FEI rules in the relevant discipline in the last 5 calendar years, for the AE 70,
AE 80, AE 90 applies to 2* and above only.

Class 2 Open Mixed 70cm Arena Eventing Individual Speed 340mpm
Open to any Junior or senior rider. No eligibility restrictions.

Class 3 BRC Area 5 Junior 80cm Arena Eventing Team and Individual Qualifier & Points
Speed 350mpm Open to Junior members of an affiliated Riding Club that have paid their membership for

have been placed in the top six at BE 90 or to have completed a BE 100 or above in the
current or previous calendar year. Riders who have competed under FEI rules in the relevant

Class 4 BRC Area 5 Junior 90cm Arena Eventing Team and Individual Qualifier & Points
Speed 360mpm Open to Junior members of an affiliated Riding Club that have paid their membership for the
current year. Horses may be registered with BE and have 1 BE points. All horses may be
currently registered with BE but must not have competed at BE novice or higher in the current
or previous calendar year. Riders who have competed under FEI rules in the relevant
discipline in the last 5 calendar years, for the AE 70, AE 80, AE 90 applies to 2* and above
only.

Class 5 BRC Area 5 Mixed 100cm Arena Eventing Team and Individual Qualifier & Points
Speed 375mpm Open to Junior and Senior members of an affiliated Riding Club that have paid their
membership for the current year. Horses may be registered with BE and have up to 20 BE
points. Riders who have competed under FEI rules in the relevant discipline in the last 5
calendar years, for the AE 100 this applies to 3* and above only

Class 6 Open Mixed 100cm Arena Eventing IndividualSpeed 375mpm
Open to any Junior or senior rider. No eligibility restrictions
THIS IS NOT A QUALIFIER COMPETITION - enter directly on myridinglife

The course will consist of a course of show jumps immediately followed by XC fences and will finish with the last
fence as a show jump, the joker fence which will be set at a discretionary 10cm higher than the rest of the course.
There will be a maximum of 20 jumping efforts, 9 SJ, 10 XC and the joker SJ fence. A horse may compete in up to two
classes 70 & 80, 80 & 90, 90 & 100 cm as an individual or part of a team
The time allowed will be based on 70cm – 340mpm, 80cm – 350mpm, 90cm – 360mpm, 100cm - 375mpm.
NO STOPWATCHES ALLOWED. Competitors are NOT allowed to take mobile phones onto the course when competing.

Entry Fee £ 42 + £11.25 prelim fee = £53.25 per rider, all team members will automatically be entered as individuals. Entries CLOSE on this web page on Thursday 22nd September as the prelim fee has to be paid by Misterton 3 weeks prior to the event. If I need to still fill a team I will add another event but all entries done before prelim closes have priority. If you enter the event directly on myridinglife you will not have paid the prelim fee, Misterton will not be aware of your entry, and you may not be able to compete as a qualifier, just for points. Price increase due to BRC requiring a vet onsite for both days.

 For the BRC classes All HORSES MUST HAVE HAD A FLU VACCINATION WITHIN 12
MONTHS OF THE COMPETITION AND NOT WITHIN THE 7 DAYS PRIOR TO THE EVENT

All competitors entering the open classes MUST abide by the BRC rules, all BRC entries will take priority
over open entries.

current year. Horses may be registered with BE and have 1 BE point. All horses may be
currently registered with BE but must not have been placed in the first six in any BE 100 or
completed a BE105 or higher in the current or previous calendar year. Riders who have
competed under FEI rules in the relevant discipline in the last 5 calendar years, for the AE 70,
AE 80, AE 90 applies to 2* and above only.

Class 10 Open Individual 90cm Arena Eventing Speed 360mpm
Open to any Junior or senior rider. No eligibility restrictions

Refunds: After the closing date, entry fees will only be refunded if notified by 12 noon on Monday 11th
October and on receipt of medical/vets certificates. THIS RULE WILL BE STRICTLY ADHERED TO AND NO
REFUND OF ENTRY WILL BE MADE AFTER THIS TIME.

STARTING TIMES: Times: Will be available on THURSDAY 13th October 2022 after 2pm.
Riding club team and individual times will be emailed to team managers. All times will be on our British Riding

BRC Topspec Arena Eventing Championships to be held on 10 - 12 March 2023 Washbrook Farm, Aston-leWalls, Daventry, Northamptonshire. NN11 6RT
This competition will run under British Riding Club Rules. It is important that all competitors are aware of the rules
relating to this competition – please see the current BRC Handbook and also the BRC Rule Amendments and Changes

Your horse must have up to date Influenza vaccinations in line with rule G7 in the current BRC Rulebook.
GENERAL RULES ALL CLASSES
Horse/ponies must be 4 years or older.
HAT STANDARDS All hats must have a visible AQUA BRC/ BE/PC hat tag in place before they are used for
warming up and competing. There will be a trained steward available on the day that will be carrying out
hat tagging if your hat does not already have a tag.
BODY PROTECTORS: A body protector is obligatory in all cross-country competitions and is strongly
recommended in show jumping competitions. A BETA Level 3 (purple label) which has been manufactured
in the year 2009 or blue label 2018 must be worn. Body protectors should be fitted and worn as per the
manufacturer’s instructions. The up to date BETA list of body protectors can be obtained from www.betauk.org.
If a rider chooses to wear an airbag style body protector it must be worn over a permitted body protector
and if activated, must be deflated or removed before continuing. Hybrid Air-jackets are permitted. Riders
wearing Exo Body Cage (2000) protectors must inform the secretary at all events.
The uses of HEAD CAMS are strictly prohibited. This includes use on the head, chest, bridle or any other part
of the horse or rider.
Medical armbands are strongly recommended and must be properly completed with the relevant competitor’s details
and worn on the arm.
Stop watches are NOT allowed.
Tack and Dress Rules
Please make sure you adhere to tack and dress rules found in the current version of the BRC rules. The full
2021 version is available to download online.
Each rider must print their own bib number.

OBJECTIONS:
Objections must be made in writing to the Secretary within half an hour of the incident together with a £50
deposit. The deposit will be forfeited if the objection is not sustained. After this the score cannot be changed.
HEALTH and SAFETY STATEMENT
The organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of every
person present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid
and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all the officials and
stewards.
Please take special care to ensure the safety of children. Children must be supervised at all times.

Save for death or injury caused by the negligence of the organisers or anyone for whom they are in law
responsible, for themselves, their servants, agents, employees and all those connected with the event, do not
accept liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, vehicles,
their contents and accessories or any other person or property whatsoever, whether caused by their
negligence, breach of contract or statutory duty or any way whatsoever of themselves, their servants, agents,
employees and all those connected with the event.
RESERVATION of RIGHT
The Organisers reserve the right to: Cancel any class or section; Divide any class; Transfer competitors
between sections of a class; Alter the advertised times, and Refuse any entry.

GROUNDS.
