This is a BRC Qualifier competition – Show jumping and Cross Country will be fully dressed with flowers.

This event is being shared with area 7 and area 18 british riding clubs, hence the 1a, 2a 3a classes. if you want to compete for points and not as a qualifier you can do so, and do not need to pay the £16 prelim fee. if you wish to do this, please let me know.
In the event of cancelation/abandonment for any reason an admin fee of £12.50 per rider and the online booking fee
£1.50 will be held.
Refunds: After the closing date,45% of entry fee will only be refunded if notified by 12 noon on Monday 12th June and on
receipt of medical/vets certificates. THIS RULE WILL BE STRICTLY ADHERED TO AND NO REFUND OF ENTRY WILL BE MADE AFTER THIS TIME.

Prelim Entries for those competing in the Qualifiers
Pre-entries must be made for every team and/or individual entering any qualifier and completed by a senior club
representative (or by an individual BRC Member) to the BRC Office 21 days before the area qualifier, with appropriate
fees.
In the event of cancelation/abandonment for any reason an admin fee of £12.50 per rider and the online booking fee
£1.50 will be held.
Your horse must have up to date Influenza vaccinations in line with the current BRC Rulebook. (Not within 7 days of
the event)
GENERAL RULES ALL CLASSES
Horse/ponies must be 5 years or older.
HAT STANDARDS All hats must have a visible PINK BRC hat tag in place before they are used for warming up and
competing. There will be a trained steward available on the day that will be carrying out hat tagging if your hat does not
already have a tag.
BODY PROTECTORS: A body protector is obligatory in all cross-country competitions and is strongly recommended in
show jumping competitions. A BETA Level 3 (purple label) which has been manufactured in the year 2009 or 2018 (blue
label) must be worn. Body protectors should be fitted and worn as per the manufacturer’s instructions. The up to date
BETA list of body protectors can be obtained from www.beta-uk.org.
If a rider chooses to wear an airbag style body protector it must be worn over a permitted body protector and if
activated, must be deflated or removed before continuing. Hybrid Air-jackets are permitted.
Riders wearing Exo Body Cage (2000) protectors must inform the secretary at all events.
Back protectors must be presented to the official steward for checking when declaring.
The uses of HEAD CAMS are strictly prohibited. This includes use on the head, chest, bridle or any other part of the
horse or rider.
Medical armbands are optional but must be worn on the arm & filled out with up-to-date information.
Stop watches are allowed.
Riders need to print and bring their numbers with them.
Bibs not provided.
Tack and Dress Rules
Please make sure you adhere to tack and dress rules found in the current version of the BRC rules. The full 2023
version is available to download online.
Any horse or pony, which is considered by a Judge, Organiser or Steward to be unsound, unfit or unhealthy, will be
excluded from further competition without any refund of entry fee.
ATV (quad bikes) and electric/motor-bikes are not permitted at Moreton Morrell, unless specifically authorised by the
Organisers.
Non-competing/travel companions are not to be left unaccompanied, the organiser/secretary must be made aware of
any horses/ponies onsite which are not competing.
No horses are to be left unattended tied to a trailer or horse box at any time.
You will be required to print and bring your bib numbers with you.

COURSE WALKING:
The Cross Country Courses will be open for walking on Saturday 17th June from 2pm NO DOGS on Course.
OBJECTIONS:
Objections must be made in writing to the Secretary within half an hour of the incident together with a £50 deposit. The
deposit will be forfeited if the objection is not sustained. After this the score cannot be changed.
HEALTH and SAFETY STATEMENT

For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents
occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all the officials and stewards.

connected with the horse trials or otherwise.
RESERVATION of RIGHT
The Organisers reserve the right to: Cancel any class or section; Divide any class; Transfer competitors between sections
of a class; Alter the advertised times, and Refuse any entry.
PLEASE REMEMBER WE ARE A WORKING FARM. TAKE YOUR RUBBISH HOME AND DO NOT
MUCK OUT YOUR HORSEBOX ON OUR GROUNDS.
