Riders: Junior Riders must be 12 years old on 1 January in the year they wish to take part in the 100+
BE Points: No Limit

Entry Fees:
All Classes Solihull RC Members: £55.00 Non-Members: £65.00 (inclusive of start fee) It is not a qualifier so there is not an additional prelim fee, and the entry date is closer to the event. The entry on Myridingclub is only for classes 2,4,6,8 so that Misterton RC will centralise your entry to make teams where possible. For the unaffiliated classes and blue lights, please enter directly, as they are individual only.

NB. You will need your own number bibs – these will not be provided on the day, nor will any numbers. Please print
your own numbers

PRIZES: BRC Classes - Rosettes for Teams to 6th Place and Individuals to 10th Place.
Prizes will be awarded for every 10 starters up to 4th place.
1st £25.00 voucher (10 starters), 2nd £15.00 voucher (11 – 20), 3rd £10.00 voucher (21-30)
Vouchers can be redeemed against future entry fees, hire of facilities and membership

PRIZES: UA & Blue Lights Quals – Rosettes to 10th Place

ENTRIES CLOSE:
BRC: Friday the 2th of September 2022 12 noon for BRC classes.
UA: Entries close 8th September 2022 12 noon for the UA OPEN classes.
Late entries will be accepted for the OPEN UA classes if there is space – surcharge of £2.00 extra.
REFUNDS:
After the closing date, no refunds will be issued unless medical / vet certificates are provided. THESE RULES WILL BE
STRITCTLY ADHERED TO AND NO REFUND OF ENTRY WILL BE MADE
 A full copy of vaccination certificate must be seen by the chief steward before the competition for each horse/pony’s
entry. All horses MUST have been vaccinated within 12 months of the competition and not within the 7 days prior
to the event.
 Passport copies must be with Tony Parker Friday the 5th of September 6pm.
PLEASE NOTE THERE WILL BE A VET ON SITE BUT NOT A FARRIER
RULES
GENERAL RULES ALL CLASSES
Horse/ponies must be 5 years or older.
HAT STANDARDS All hats must have a visible AQUA BRC hat tag in place before they are used for warming up and
competing. There will be a trained steward available on the day that will be carrying out hat tagging if your hat does not
already have a tag.
HATS must be worn whenever mounted and conform to PAS015 (1998 or 2011). VG01.040 2014-12 with a BSI Kite mark
or Inspec IC mark
ASTM F1163.2004a onwards with SEI mark SNELL E2001 or 2016 (No additional mark required)
ONLY Jockey skull hats without a peak (greater than 5mm smooth and rounded in nature) may be worn for cross
country. Hat silks may be worn with flexible peak. It must also comply with the above safety standards for hats.
BODY PROTECTORS A body protector is obligatory for all arena eventing and cross-country events and are also strongly
recommended for all show jumping events. A BETA Level 3 (purple label) which has a 2009 or Blue 2018 label must be
worn. Body protectors should be fitted and worn as per the manufacturer’s instructions.

If a rider chooses to wear an airbag style body protector it must be worn over a permitted body protector and if
activated, must be deflated or removed before continuing. Hybrid Air jackets and Helite Air Jackets are permitted. It is
recommended that body protectors are replaced once they are more than 5 years old.
Riders wearing Exo Body Cage protectors must inform the secretary at all events.
Back protectors must be presented to the official steward for checking when declaring.
The uses of HEAD CAMS are strictly prohibited. This includes use on the head, chest, bridle or any other part of the horse
or rider.
Medical armbands are advised but not compulsory and must be worn on the arm & filled out with up-to-date
information.
Stop watches are allowed.
Tack and Dress Rules
Please make sure you adhere to tack and dress rules found in the current version of the BRC rules. The full 2022
version is available to download online.
Any horse or pony, which is considered by a Judge, Organiser or Steward to be unsound, unfit or unhealthy, will be
excluded from further competition without any refund of entry fee.
You will be required to print and bring your bib numbers with you.
1. BHS Riding Club “Rules for Official Competitions” 2022 with Area 5 amendments.
2. Objections to be made in writing to the Organisers, accompanied by a deposit of £20, which will be
refunded if the objection is upheld.
3. The course will be open for inspection from 14:00pm 10th September 2022
CORRECT dress & footwear with defined heels must be worn. Long hair is to be suitably tied up.
ALL horses and ponies must be five years old and over. ALL Riders to be 8 years old and over.
ENTRIES accepted at rider’s risk. SRC reserve the right to refuse an entry at their discretion, cancel, amend or
amalgamate any class for any reason whatsoever. The Judge’s decision is final.
INSURANCE Each competitor must carry their own liability insurance whether Riding Club, Pony Club, BHS, BS, BD, BE or
independent cover.
HEALTH & SAFETY The organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of
everyone present. For these measures to be effective everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and
prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all the officials and stewards. Those
attending this event must report any accidents to the secretary or organizer of the event
Please do not leave unattended horses tied to lorries and no hay nets to be tied to the outside of lorries or trailers.
Solihull Riding Club welcomes responsible dog owners. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.
