Class 1 SEIB Junior 70cm Team and Individual Show Jumping Qualifier
Open to Junior members of an affiliated Riding Club. Entries from teams
or individuals. 0 BE Foundation Points, 0 BS Club Points gained at 90cm
or higher. Horses may not have completed a BE or BRC 100 or above in
the current or previous calendar year.
Maximum height 1st Round 70cm, 2nd Rd 75cm, J/O 80cm

Class 2 SEIB Senior 70cm Team and Individual Show Jumping Qualifier
Open to Senior members of an affiliated Riding Club Entries from teams
or individuals. 0 BE Foundation Points, 0 BS Club Points gained at 90cm
or higher. Horses may not have completed a BE or BRC 100 or above in
the current or previous calendar year.

Class 3 SEIB Junior 80cm Team and Individual Show Jumping Qualifier
Open to Junior members of an affiliated Riding Club. Entries from teams
or individuals. Horses may have 5 BE points, and 75 BS points. Horses
may be currently registered with BE but must not have completed a BE
Novice or above in the current or previous calendar year.
Maximum height 1st round 80cm, 2nd Rd 85cm, J/O 90cm

Class 4 SEIB Senior 80cm Team and Individual Show Jumping Qualifier
Open to Senior members of an affiliated Riding Club. Entries from teams
or individuals. Horses may have 5 BE points, and 75 BS points. Horses
may be currently registered with BE but must not have completed a BE
Novice or above in the current or previous calendar year.
Maximum height 1st round 80cm, 2nd Rd 85cm, J/O 90cm

Horses may compete in two classes individually or as part of a team however courses will change.
COMBINATIONS may jump in up to two consecutive classes as part of a team, or as an individual, 70 & 80cm

SJ FORMAT: Riders jump two rounds. Riders will jump the first round and then a second round. The
second round will be in two parts, the first part of the course will be the second round, followed by the
second part of the course which will be classed as the jump-off.
All competitors will go straight onto the jump-off without stopping. All team and individual members
will go forward to the second part of the second round (jump-off) unless eliminated. The first-round
score and the second-round score will be combined to gain the total score. The jump-off section will only
be used where there are ties for equality. The second round will be scored as two parts, so for example a
rider who goes clear in the first part, then accrues four faults in the second part (jump-off) will be placed
above a rider who accrued four faults in the first part, regardless of times or faults recorded in the
second part of the round
This competition will run under British Riding Club Rules. It is important that all competitors are aware
of the rules relating to this competition – please see the current BRC Rule Book and also the BRC Rule

All entrants must pay a prelim entry of £40 per team or £12 per individual to British Riding Clubs at least 21
days before the date of the qualifier (above) and a class fee of £12. Both fees are included in an entry fee of £23 per class on myridingclub.

Late entries cannot be guaranteed therefore must not be paid for until approval from the organiser has been sought.
If the date of the qualifier is cancelled for any reason, the close of prelim entry will remain. However, if the
qualifier is moved more than 21 days later, entries will be re-opened but late entry fees cannot be
refunded. Eligibility will be approved at the original close of prelim entry.

All hats must have a visible PINK BRC hat tag in place before they are used for warming up and competing,
to show that it meets the current safety standards. If your hat does not currently have a tag, please take it
to the official steward for tagging before competing.For up to date hat rules please see the current rule
book.

TIMES: Times available online from Thursday 16th February http://solihullridingclub.co.uk/times from
16:00 onwards. Juniors must complete DOB on entry form.
RESULTS: Results will be published online during the competition.
REFUNDS: After the closing date, entries will only be refunded/transferred if notified by 12 noon on
Monday 13th February 2023 and on receipt of medical/vets certificates.
THIS RULE WILL BE STRICTLY ADHERED TO OR NO REFUND/TRANSFER OF ENTRY WILL BE MADE
Flu vac rules as quoted in the BRC competition Rules - Your horse must have up to date influenza
vaccinations in line with rule G7 in the current BRC Rulebook.
 A full copy of vaccination certificate must be sent by email to TONY PARKER before the competition
for each horse/pony’s entry.
RULES AND CONDITIONS.
1. Rules for Official Competitions 2023.
2. Protective head gear as specified in the BHS Riding Club “Rules for Official Competitions” 2023
must be worn by everyone mounted, whether competing or not. Failure to do so will incur
elimination. The wearing of a back/body protector as specified in the BHS Riding Club “Rules for
Official Competitions” 2023 is recommended for show jumping.
3. All Horses/ponies must be 4 years old or over.
4. Objections to be made in writing to the Organisers, accompanied by a deposit of £10, which will
be refunded if the objection is upheld.
5. Dogs to be kept on a lead at all times.
6. Solihull Riding Club, its officers or anyone acting on their behalf shall not be held responsible for
any accident, injury, loss or damage to or by horses, ponies, competitors, spectators or any
persons, animals or property whatsoever.
7. The organisers reserve the right to refuse any entry at their discretion, cancel, amend or
amalgamate any class for any reason whatsoever.
8. No entrant shall be entitled to the return of any entry fee after closing date other than on
production of the appropriate Veterinary or Medical Certificate and at the organisers’ discretion.
HEALTH & SAFETY
The organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of
everyone present. For these measures to be effective everyone must take all reasonable precautions
to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all the
officials and stewards.

provided.
