Class 3 Senior Winter Novice Intro A (2008) Dressage Individual Qualifier

Open to Senior members of an affiliated Riding Club that have paid their
membership for the current year. Horses may have up to 35 prelim points. 0
points at Novice or above. FBHS, BHSI, BHSII Not permitted (qualification
gained in last 10 years) Rider cannot have competed at BE Novice or Novice
dressage or above in the current or previous calendar year BD or BRC. Riders
who have competed under FEI Rules in the relevant discipline in the last 5
calendar years – Not permitted. Horses may not have competed in novice or
above in the current or previous calendar year BD or BRC.

4 Senior Winter Novice Team Dressage Qualifier
Open to Senior members of an affiliated Riding Club that have paid their
membership for the current year. Senior Novice Winter Dressage, for teams of
4 riders, with 3 scores to count and for individuals (all team members are
automatically entered in the individual competition). One rider will ride either
P2 (2016), P12 (2005), N24 (2010), N28 (2008) See eligibility rules below. See
current rule book for more information. P2 is Saturday, P12, N24 and N28 Sunday.

P2 (2016) Qualifier
Open to Senior members of an affiliated Riding Club that have paid their
membership for the current year. Unlimited Prelim Points, 0 points at Novice
or above. Horses cannot have competed in elementary or above in the same
competition year BD or BRC. FBHS, BHSI, BHII BHSII (qualification gained in last
10 years) not permitted. Rider cannot have competed at BE Novice or
Elementary dressage or above in the current or previous calendar year BD or

Class 4D Senior Winter Novice Dressage Team & Individual
N28 (2008) Qualifier
Open to Senior members of an affiliated Riding Club that have paid their
membership for the current year Unlimited Novice Points, Up to 35
Elementary Points, 0 points at Medium or above.
FBHS, BHSI, not permitted. Rider cannot have competed at BE Intermediate or
Medium dressage or above in the current or previous calendar year BD or BRC.

Prelim entry date is 1.10.21, so all entries on myridingclub will close on 30.9.21.
Please enter earlier than 30.9.21 to ensure a team place.

• Rosettes to 6th in all classes – Please bring or post an A5 SAE with a “large” stamp if you will not be here at the end
of the class.
QUALIFIERS
Classes 3, 4A, 4B, 4C, & 4D are qualifiers for the BRC SEIB Novice Winter Dressage Championships at Arena UK on 26th – 27th March 2022.

Pre-Entries
If the date of the qualifier is cancelled for any reason, the close of prelim entry will remain. However, if the
qualifier is moved more than 21 days later, entries will be re-opened but late entry fees cannot be refunded.
Eligibility will be considered from the original close of prelim entry date.
All hats must have a visible AQUA BRC hat tag in place before they are used for warming up and competing.
Your horse must have up to date Influenza vaccinations in line with rule G7 in the current BRC Rulebook. There is a
checking device on the BRC website.
Tack and Dress Rules
Please make sure you adhere to tack and dress rules found in the current version of the BRC rules. The full 2021
Rulebook is available to download online.
General Rules:
HATS must be worn whenever mounted and conform to PAS015 (1998 or 2011). VG01.040 2014-12. with a BSI Kite
mark or Inspec IC mark ASTM F1163.2004a onwards with SEI mark SNELL E2001 or 2016 (No additional mark
required)
ONLY Jockey skull hats without a peak (greater than 5mm smooth and rounded in nature) may be worn for cross
country. Hat silks may be worn with flexible peak. It must also comply with the above safety standards for hats.
BODY PROTECTORS A body protector is obligatory for all arena eventing and crosscountry events and are also
strongly recommended for all show jumping events. A BETA Level 3 2009 (Purple label) or 2018 (Blue label) must be
worn. Body protectors should be fitted and worn as per the manufacturer’s instructions. If a rider chooses to wear
an airbag style body protector it must be worn over a permitted body protector and if activated, must be deflated
or removed before continuing. Hybrid Air jackets and Helite Air Jackets are permitted. It is recommended that body
protectors are replaced once they are more than 5 years old. Riders wearing Exo Body Cage protectors must inform
the secretary at all events.
CORRECT dress & footwear with defined heels must be worn. Long hair is to be suitably tied up.
ALL horses and ponies must be four years old and over.
ENTRIES accepted at rider’s risk. SRC reserve the right to refuse an entry at their discretion, cancel, amend or
amalgamate any class for any reason whatsoever. The Judge’s decision is final.

INSURANCE Each competitor must carry their own liability insurance whether Riding Club, Pony Club, BHS, BS, BD,
BE or independent cover.
HEALTH & SAFETY The organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety
of everyone present. For these measures to be effective everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid
and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all the officials and stewards.
Those attending this event must report any accidents to the secretary or organizer of the event
Please do not leave unattended horses tied to lorries and no hay nets to be tied to the outside of lorries or trailers.
Solihull Riding Club welcomes responsible dog owners. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.

COVID-19 precautions
You must not attend site if you, or any of those travelling with you, or anyone from your household is exhibiting any
symptoms of being unwell.
We will not accept anyone just “turning up”.
Please ensure you bring an adequate supply of water for you and your horse.
Government guidelines could change quickly at any time; therefore Solihull Riding Club reserve the right to close
site at short notice.
